Messaging
Alert Type
This allows you to select the ringer type for voicemail, text
messaging, and web alerts. Any ringer saved in the phone can be
used as the default ringer. Ringers that are downloaded can also be
assigned. To set the ringer type:
1. In the Settings menu, press for Message Alerts.
2. Press for Alert Type.
3. Press:
•
for Voicemail
•
for Text Message
•
for Picture Mail
•
for Web Alert
4. Press the navigation key left or right to select between Ring
Tones, Melodies, Downloaded, or Single Tones.
5. Press the navigation key down to preview the first ringer.
Press left or right to preview the other ringers associated
with the ringer group selected. When finished, press
to
Save the desired ringer.
Reminder
This allows you to configure how often the reminder for new
messages is sounded or displayed on the phone. The available
options are:
•
Off: No reminder is sounded or heard on the phone.
•
Once: A reminder is sounded or displayed once to alert you
of new messages.
•
Every 2 min: A reminder is sounded or displayed every
two minutes until the new message is read.
