Send message

1. From the main screen, select Menu > Messaging.
2. Select Write new > Message.
3. Type your message and select Continue when done.
4. Select one of the following:

Enter email address: Type the e-mail address and select OK.

Select Send.

Enter phone number: Type the phone number and select OK.

Select Send.

Get from Contacts: Scroll to and select the contact.

Select Send.

Read and delete message

Your phone notifies you when you have a new text message.

To read, select Yes.
To access messages in your Inbox:

1. From the main screen, select Menu > Messaging > Inbox.
2. Scroll to the message and press the Center Select key to view.

To delete, select Options > Delete and select Yes.

Text Messaging

Your phone supports four text modes:

Multi-Tap mode allows you to type letters by pressing

the key until the correct letter displays. For example, to type the,

you press the 8 key once, the 4 key twice, and the 3 key twice.

n

T9 ® (Predictive) mode allows you to type words with only

one keystroke per letter. The phone predicts the word you want.

For example, to type the, you press 8, 4, 3. Press # to select the

and insert a space.

n

Number mode mode allows you to type numbers. To type

numbers, press and hold the key until the number appears.

n

Symbol mode mode allows you to type symbols. To type symbols

while in the text entry screen, select Options > Add symbol. Scroll

to the symbol and press the Center Select key.

To change text mode while in the text entry screen, press and hold * to switch
between multi-tap and T9 or you can select Options > Writing options >
Dictionary (T9) > On
or Off. See your User Manual for more information.

Separate charges may apply to send/receive domestic/international text messages.
