a frequency is listed on the type plate on the back of the receiver. Up to
16 receiving frequencies are available.

Note

Transmitter and receiver must be set to the same
frequency!

10

Switching the receiver on

Turn the volume control

»

clockwise (the volume control has an inte-

gral on/off switch - the receiver is switched off when the control is
turned fully anti-clockwise until it clicks).

5

Battery or accupack operation

The EK 3053-U can be powered by either batteries or rechargeable
accupacks. We recommend using a 9 V PP3 battery (IEC 6 LR 61). If
powered by a 9 V PP3 battery, the receiver has an operating time of
approx. five hours with the volume set to a medium value. Since the
power consumption depends to a large extent on the volume adjustment
on the EK 3053-U, the operating time will be reduced by up to 30 % if
the volume is set to a high value. The operating time can be increased
by up to 20 % if you choose a low volume. If the receiver is operated
with a rechargeable 9 V accupack, the operating time will be reduced
to less than two hours.

Inserting / Changing the battery

Slide the cover of the battery compartment

of the receiver, then open the cover. Insert the 9 V PP3 battery as shown
above. Close the battery compartment by carrying out the operating
steps in reverse order.
