Changing Your Internal Phone
Book
Editing Internal Phone Book numbers
Once you have stored a number in the Internal Phone Book
you can easily ch a n ge it.To ch a n ge an Internal Phone Book
e n t ry :
1 . From Standby mode, find the Internal Phone Book entry
that you want to ch a n ge by pressing the key and
then scrolling to the name.
2 . P ress the key to display the name and nu m b e r.
3 . P ress the key for options.
4 . P ress for Edit.Your edit options display. If the nu m-
ber has been designated as Secret you are prompted to
enter the Lock Code.
P ress to ch a n ge the nu m b e r.
P ress to ch a n ge the name.
P ress to move the number to a diffe rent loca-
t i o n .
P ress to make the number secre t .
P ress to Set Speed Dial nu m b e r.
Secret Internal Phone Book numbers
Your Samsung PCS Phone allows you to hide a confi d e n t i a l
number so that only a person with your phone’s lock code
can view the number and name.To make a number secre t ,
see the previous paragra p h .When you have made the nu m-
ber secre t ,the phone will not allow anyone to view info r-
mation on the number unless they enter your fo u r - d i git lock
c o d e .
Adding a Name Ringer
You can associate one of 13 diffe rent ri n ge rs (fo u r
melodies and nine tones) to nu m b e rs stored in yo u r
I n t e rnal Phone Book.When you re c e i ve an incoming call
f rom a number matching an entry in your Internal Phone
Book your phone will sound the associated ri n ger to
announce the call.
N o t e : If the Caller ID info rmation was not ava i l able for an
incoming call then the Name Ringer option will not be
ava i l abl e .
To add a Name Ringer to an Internal Phone Book entry :
1 . P ress to display the Main menu .
2 . P ress for Phone Book.
3 . Find the number you want to add a Name Ringer to
using one of the search methods described under
“ Vi ewing stored entri e s ”on page 62, and then pre s s
.
4 . P ress to display options.
5 . P ress to add a Name Ringe r.
6 . Your phone displays the current ri n ger setting. Use the
s c roll key to listen to ava i l able ri n ge rs and melodies.
7 . P ress to save your ri n ger selection.
