open the submenu.
5 Press or to select a setting. You can
select:
• CC1 through CC4—Closed captioning
appears in a small banner across the bottom
of the screen. The closed captioning displayed
depends on the content provided by the
broadcaster.
• Text1 through Text4—Closed captioning that
covers half or all of the screen. Text1 through
Text4 display content provided by the
broadcaster.
6 Press MENU to go to the previous menu, or
press EXIT to close the menu.
Customizing digital closed captioning styles
To customize digital closed captioning styles:
1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
2 Press or to highlight SETTINGS. The
Settings menu opens.
3 Press to highlight Closed Caption, then press
OK/ENTER or . The Closed Caption screen
opens.
4 Press or to highlight Digital CC Settings,
then press OK/ENTER or . The Digital CC
Settings screen opens.
5 Press to highlight Style, then press or to
select Custom. If Style is set to Automatic, you
cannot adjust individual style options.
6 Press to highlight an option, then press or
to adjust the option. You can select:
• Style—Selects the digital closed captioning
style. This option must be set to Custom to
change individual style options.
• Size—Selects the font size.
• Font—Selects the font type.
• Text Color—Selects the text color.
• Text Opacity—Selects the text opacity.
• Background Color—Selects the background
color.
• Background Opacity—Selects the
background opacity.
• Edge Effect—Selects the edge style.
• Edge Color—Selects the edge color.
7 Press MENU to go to the previous menu, or
press EXIT to close the menu.
