ERRORS ON THE DISPLAY
Fault Code Description Possible Adjustments
Err 81 Average motor over current shutdown • The wire drive motor has overheated.
• Check to make sure the electrode
slides easily through the liner of the
gun.
• Verify that the spindle brake is not set
too tight.
• For best results, use only Lincoln elec-
trodes.
• Wait 10 minutes for the wire feeder to
cool.
Err 86 Trigger lockout. • The ripple of the power source OCV is
too high, greater than 110V. (Across
the Arc Models only)
• Verify the power source is reconnect-
ed for the proper input voltage.
• Repair or replace the power source.
