Connecting

This chapter explains how to install your UNIDISK 2.1 and how to connect it to an audio
preamplifier, display devices, etc.

Note:
In this manual, ‘display device’ refers to plasma screens, projection TVs, monitors and
televisions.

Unpacking

The UNIDISK 2.1 is supplied with the following accessories:

luminescent handset with booklet

2 x RO3 (AAA) batteries for the handset

mains lead

1 pair of black interconnect cables

this manual

We recommend that you retain all packaging in case you need to transport the
UNIDISK 2.1 at a later date.

Voltage selection

The UNIDISK 2.1 contains an automatic internal mains voltage switch. This switch
operates on all worldwide mains voltages from 100V to 240V. Manual adjustment on the
product for setting the input mains voltage is not possible.

This unit must be earthed. Use the earthed moulded mains lead supplied.
Never use an unearthed plug or adaptor.

Positioning

You can position your UNIDISK 2.1 almost anywhere you find convenient, but please
consider the following points:

Allow at least 10 cm of space to the sides, rear and above the UNIDISK 2.1 for air
circulation.

You should have no problems operating the UNIDISK 2.1 with the handset
wherever it is placed in a room, provided you keep your UNIDISK 2.1 out of direct
sunlight.

Important:
Do not open the UNIDISK 2.1 ’s disc drawer if the unit is behind glass doors as this can
damage the drawer’s mechanism.
