If you choose to send the scanned image to a computer over the network (selected models only):

Press the arrow buttons until Network appears, and then press

If prompted, press the arrow buttons until the computer name of the network computer appears, and

Notes:

You may be prompted to enter a PIN if the computer requires it. To assign a computer name and a
PIN to the network computer, see the Help for the printer software associated with your operating
system.

Use the arrow buttons to increase or decrease the value for each digit (the default value is 0000) in
the PIN, and then press

each time you select a digit.

Wait until the printer has finished downloading the scan applications list.

Press the arrow buttons until the application that you want appears, and then press

Using Windows

Open the top cover, and then load an original document facedown on the scanner glass.

Close the top cover to avoid dark edges on the scanned image.

Do one of the following:

In Windows Vista, click

In Windows XP and earlier, click Start.

Click All Programs or Programs, and then select the printer program folder from the list.

Click Lexmark Productivity Studio.

From the Photo Printing section of the main screen, click Scan.

Follow the instructions on the computer screen.

Using Macintosh

Open the top cover, and then load an original document facedown on the scanner glass.

Close the top cover to avoid dark edges on the scanned image.

From the Finder desktop, double-click the printer folder.

Double-click XXXX Series Center, where XXXX is the printer series.

From the “What is being scanned?” menu, choose the type of document to be scanned.

Click Scan.
