3 Telephone Making and Answering Calls
3.1 Making phone calls
3.1.1 With the cordless handset
1 Lift the cordless handset and press {C}.
L To make hands-free phone calls, press {s}.
2 Dial the telephone number.
3 To hang up, press {ih} or place the cordless
handset on the charger.
Note:
L While talking using {C}, you can switch to a hands-
free phone conversation by pressing {s}. To switch
back, press {C}.
L You can also dial by performing step 2 before step 1.
To mute your conversation
When the call is muted, you will be able to hear the other
party but the other party will not be able to hear you.
Press {C/T}.
L To release the mute, press {C/T}.
Voice enhancer feature
You can change the tone quality of the receiver while you
are on a call.
1. Press " during a call.
2. Select “ Voice Enhancer”. i #
3. “ High Tone” or “Low Tone”. i #
L d is displayed.
To redial the last number dialled from the cordless
handset
Press {C} or {s}. i B
L If {s} is pressed and the other party’s line is
engaged, the unit will automatically redial 2 or more
times. While the cordless handset is waiting to redial,
the ringer indicator (
1) will flash.
To redial using the redial list (Memory redial)
The last 10 phone numbers dialled from the cordless
handset are stored in the redial list.

To edit a number in the redial list before calling it
1. B
2. Press {^} or {V} repeatedly to select the desired
number. i "
3. Press {^} or {V} repeatedly to select “ Edit and
Call”. i #
4. Press {<} or {>} to move the cursor then edit the
number.
L Place the cursor on the number you wish to
erase, then press {C/T}.
L Place the cursor to the right of where you want to
insert a number, then press the appropriate dial
key.

To erase numbers in the redial list

2. Press {^} or {V} repeatedly to select the desired
number. i "
3. Press {^} or {V} repeatedly to select “ Erase”. i

L If you want to erase all numbers in the list, select
“
Erase All”, then press #.
4. Press {^} or {V} repeatedly to select “ Yes” i #

To store a number from the redial list into the
cordless handset phonebook

2. Press {^} or {V} repeatedly to select the desired
number. i "
3. Press {^} or {V} repeatedly to select “ Add
Phonebook”. i #
4. Enter a name up to 16 characters (see page 62 for
character entry). i #
5. Edit the phone number if necessary. i #
6. Select the desired category (page 25). i #
7. “ Save” i # i {ih}
Key lock
The cordless handset can be locked so that no calls or
settings can be made. Incoming calls can be answered,
but all other functions are disabled while key lock is ON.
To turn key lock ON, press " for about 2 seconds.
L ! is displayed.
L To turn key lock OFF, press ! for about 2 seconds.
