Troubleshooting Guide

Problem

No power.

Unit turns off
automatically.
Unit doesn’t work
when powered by
battery.

Cannot charge or the
[CHG] indicator fails to
light.

No response when
buttons are pressed.

Play fails to start or
stops soon after
starting.

Solution

Check connections to the AC adaptor or battery pack.

:

You cannot turn on the unit with the remote control if the unit is
powered by the battery pack.

The unit turns off after it has been stopped for about 15 minutes
(5 minutes when the unit is powered by the battery pack) to conserve
power. Turn the unit on again.

The unit and battery pack have protection circuitry that activate if they
become too hot or too cold. They will not work if this occurs. Use the
unit and battery pack between 5

o

C (41

o

F) and 35

o

C (95

o

F).

The battery pack can only be recharged when the unit is off.

The charging time increases if the battery pack is warm and charging
may not be possible under some circumstances. Wait for it to cool.

Check connection to the AC adaptor.

:

Some discs prohibit certain operations.

If there is no response at all, the unit may have been affected by
lightning or static electricity. Try turning the unit off and on again.
Alternatively, turn the unit off, disconnect the power source (AC or
battery pack) reconnect the power and turn the unit on again.

Condensation may have formed in the unit.
Wait 1 or 2 hours for it to clear.

This unit cannot play discs other than those specified.

8

Clean the disc.

9

Ensure the disc is inserted correctly.

=

Check that the DVD-RAM has something recorded on it.
