Toasting Tips

THIS OVEN RETAINS HEAT VERY WELL. WHEN MAKING
MORE THAN ONE BATCH OF TOAST, THE TOAST SHADE
SELECTOR SHOULD BE SET TO A LIGHTER COLOR ON
THE SECOND BATCH TO GET THE SAME SHADE OF
TOAST AS THE FIRST.
• If the bottom surface of the toast is too light, place the

bread near the back of the oven. This toasts top and bottom
more evenly than if placed in the center of the oven.

To toast regular toaster pastry, frozen pastry, or waffles,

select a light color and toast directly on the oven rack. If
pastry has a glaze of frosting, use baking pan.

• The number of slices of bread, the bread freshness, and

the starting temperature of the oven will affect toast color.
If the oven is already hot, select a lighter shade of toast
than normal. Adjust the Toast Shade Selector to achieve the
desired color.

To Bake

1. Select temperature then set Timer to 5 and

let preheat for five minutes before beginning
to bake.

2. Set Timer to desired time or ON. The

indicator light will come on and oven
will begin baking.

3. When finished, turn OFF. Unplug from outlet.
Baking Tip: Most foods should be baked
according to package or recipe directions.
Watch carefully and adjust the time or
temperature if necessary.

BAKING NOTES:
To reduce the risk of fire, do not use oven cooking bags in

the toaster oven.

• For baked potatoes, bake at 425ºF for 1 hour or until done.

To Broil

1. Place baking pan on the oven rack.
2. Set the Function Selector Knob to Broil.
3. Set Timer to desired time or ON. The

Indicator Light will come on. Only the
top heating element will come on during
the Broil Function.

4. Halfway through cooking time, or when food has browned,

turn food over to brown and cook other side.

5. When finished turn OFF; unplug from outlet.
BROILING NOTES:
• For best results, do not preheat when broiling.
• Always allow at least one inch between the food and the

heating element.

• Single-serving meats are broiled to doneness in approxi-

mately 15 to 20 minutes.
