Hum: Check for faulty phono connecting cable. Try to separate phono cables from power cords (they

can induce hum into the system). If that doesn't work we recommend you turn off your subwoofer when it

is not in use. This is most easily accomplished by either connecting its powercord to a switched power

outlet on the back of your receiver (if it has them) or by using a Remote Controlled Switched Outlet like

Radio Shack part #61-2667.
