The SETUP menu appears in the LCD.
3 Rotate the Zoom control left or right to highlight the
Format Media menu option.
4 Press the OK button.
The FORMAT MEDIA menu appears in the LCD, with
the NO option highlighted.
5 To format the memory card, rotate the Zoom control to
highlight the
YES menu option, then press the OK
button.
Note: If you change your mind about formatting the
memory card, rotate the Zoom control to
highlight the
NO menu option, then press the
OK button.
6 Upon completion of formatting, the camera displays a
second menu, asking if you want to reset the image
numbers.
Note: If you do not reset the image numbers, the next
photos you take start numbering where the last
photos left off.
Caution: If you tend to store your images in the same folder on
your computer, resetting the image numbers may
cause you to inadvertently overwrite previous image
files when you transfer your new photos to the
computer. For more information on image numbers,
see page 31.
7 To reset the image numbers, rotate the Zoom control to
highlight the
YES menu option, then press the OK
button.
Note: To bypass resetting the image numbers, rotate
the Zoom control to highlight the
NO menu
option, then press the OK button.
8 Rotate the Zoom control left or right to highlight any
other Setup option that you want to configure, and
press the OK button to display its menu. See the
appropriate section in this book for details about each
SETUP menu option.
