in place and the latch is securely locked to avoid water from entering the Housing;

• Never use petroleum solvents, such as alcohol or thinner to clean the Housing;
• Be careful not to scratch the lens section of the Housing;
• Do not subject the Housing to extreme heat, such as in direct sunlight, in a sealed vehicle or the dash
board;
• Do not store the Housing in a damp or humid environment.

Care and Maintenance of the Sealing Gasket
The Housing comes with an airtight waterproof seal. Improper handling and maintenance of the sealing
gasket can cause leakage and possibly fl ood the camera.
• Always inspect the sealing gasket for scratches, cracks or cuts. Do not attempt to remove the sealing

gasket from the Housing.

• Make sure that there are no foreign particles such as dust, sand or hair on the groove or contact

surface of the sealing gasket. Otherwise, the Housing would not be sealed properly, thereby possibly

causing leakage or even fl ood the camera. If necessary, wash the seal thoroughly in fresh water, then

dry with a lint-free cloth.
