No sound from left, right,
front, or rear speaker.

Problem

Left and right balance, or front and rear balance is off on one side.

Adjust BAL/FAD as appropriate.

Left and right sounds are
reversed in stereo
listening.

The right speaker wire is connected to the left speaker and the left speaker
wire to the right speaker.

Connect the speaker wires to the correct ones.

Cables are not correctly connected.

The disc has unplayable formatted data.

Refer to the description about MP3 for playable sound data except CD-
DA (i.e. music CD)

The CD-R/RWs that are
playable on other devices
are not playable on this
unit.

The playability of some CD-R/RWs may depend on the combination of
media, recording software and recorder to be used even if these CD-R/RWs
are playable on other devices such as a PC.

Make CD-R/RWs in different combination of media, recording
software and recorder after referring to the description about MP3.

Sound skipping or noise

There is a flaw or foreign material on the disc.

Remove the foreign material, or use a flawless disc. For MP3, refer to
the description about MP3.

Playing VBR (Variable Bit Rate) files may cause sound skipping.

Play Non-VBR files.
