2-a) Enter 4 digit PIN code using

[the Number buttons].

• “4737” cannot be used.
• Press [RED] to return to the previous screen.

2-b) Enter 4 digit PIN code using

[the Number buttons].

2-c) Follow step 2-b). Select “New PIN”, then press

[OK]. Enter the new PIN code.

2-d) Enter “4737”. Current PIN code and the “Ratings

Lock” settings are now cleared. Follow step 1) and
step 2-a) to create a new PIN code.

3) After entering the PIN code, “Rating Level” appears.

(If not, use [K / L] to highlight “Rating Level”.)
Select desired rating level then press [OK].

To cancel ratings lock temporarily

Some discs allow you to cancel the ratings lock
temporarily. With those discs, the message below will
appear when you try to play them back.
“Please enter your PIN to unblock content.”
Follow the instruction which appears on the screen to
cancel the ratings lock. After entering the PIN code,
“Rating Level” appears.

Select desired rating level, then press [OK].

EasyLink (HDMI CEC) function allows your TV (limited to
PHILIPS brand EasyLink TV) to act in conjunction with this
unit, or vice versa.

When “EasyLink (HDMI CEC)” setting is set to “On”,
functions listed below will be available.
One Touch Play

When this unit is turned on, the TV also is turned on and
the appropriate external input channel will be selected
automatically. The appropriate external input channel
can also be selected on your TV automatically when you
press [PLAY B], [PREV

S], [NEXT T],

[the Number buttons], [HOME

], [INFO

],

[TOP MENU], or [DISC MENU / POP-UP MENU] when
the unit’s power is on.

Standby

When you press and hold [STANDBY-ON

Q]

for 2 seconds, it turns off the power of the TV first and
then turns off the power of this unit also.

System Information

Get & Set Menu Language
The unit recognizes the OSD language set for the TV and
automatically sets the same language as the player
menu language (OSD menu language) for this unit.
Refer to the “Player Menu” on page 32 for available
languages.

• This feature is available only when “Auto” is selected in

the “Player Menu” in the settings menu.

RATING EXPLANATIONS

• Ratings Lock Control is inactive; all

discs can playback.

• DVD software of any grades (adult/

general/children) can be played
back.
