available for all DVD Region discs. Progressive scan offers
a noticeably more fi lm like picture when connected to
today’s digital and HD video monitors and projectors. But
even in interlace mode with a standard analogue monitor,
NAD’s close adherence to international video standards and
avoidance of “tricks” and “gimmicks” like edge enhancement
and peaked chroma response, make for a reference quality
picture.

Part of the S 570’s allure is the beautiful styling and
extraordinary build quality. This is a machine that will bring
many years of enjoyment to its owner. The chassis is built up
of extruded aluminum panels, sandblasted and anodized for
a gleaming, yet understated fi nish. It is no accident that the
S 570 perfectly matches NAD’s S 170i Preamp Processor
and S 250 Power Amplifi er!

Features and Circuitry
The NAD S 570 provides the best in available components:
True 24 bit/192kHz DAC custom designed for NAD
by renowned supplier Wolfson, ultra low-noise wide
bandwidth Burr-Brown op-amps and associated analogue
circuitry are all part of the S 570’s impressive component
specifi cation. Unusual for a DVD player, Burr-Brown (OPA
2134) op-amps are used to provide music playback via the
analogue output that can easily surpass that of the digital
connection. These premium analogue components are
fed from an independent, highly regulated linear power
supply for optimal performance. Furthermore, the high
quality DAC, associated circuitry and HDCD decoder mean
that the S 570 will play back your existing CD collection to
perfection, often sonically outperforming the newer, but
struggling, DVD-A and SACD formats. Even MP-3 encoded
CD-R’s are presented with astounding realism.

Both a coaxial and optical digital output is provided to
accommodate virtually all types of processors and receivers.
Using precision 75 ohm buffer transformers, the S 570’s
digital output interfaces optimally with cables and processor
inputs for lowest possible digital jitter. Keeping signal paths
short and direct to minimize any interference, the 10 bit
Video DACs running at 54MHz are capable of reproducing
the fi nest picture detail, where black is truly black and with
vivid colors extremely faithful to the original.

S 570 DVD/CD Player

NAD brings an award winning audio pedigree
to the Home Cinema market place. After all, the
fi rst half of A/V is Audio - doesn’t it make sense
to choose an AV component that excels in audio
performance?

NAD’s “Music First” approach to Home Theatre
makes the S 570 equally at home playing CD’s as
it is playing 5.1 DVD sound tracks. This stands in
stark contrast to players produced by the larger
TV industry. With NAD’s formidable reputation
for sound quality and applying the same skills
used for our award-winning CD players, the
NAD S 570 exploits this potential to the fullest.
This approach makes the S 570 the ideal choice
for those who value music as much as video
performance.
