IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be
followed, including the following:

• Do not leave appliance when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before
cleaning or servicing.
• Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
• Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near
children.
• Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended attachments.
• Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has
been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center.
• Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord
around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from
heated surfaces.
• Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
• Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
• Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of
dust, lint, hair and anything that may reduce air flow.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from
openings and moving parts.
• Turn off all controls before unplugging.
• Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
• Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in
areas where they may be present.
• Hold plug when rewinding onto cord reel. Do not allow plug to whip when rewinding.
• Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
• Do not use without dust bag and/or filters in place.

ÉLECTRIQUE ET DE BLESSURE :
• Ne pas laisser l'appareil sans surveillance lorsqu'il est branché. Débrancher la shamp -
ouineuse lorsqu'elle n'est pas utilisée et avant d'en effectuer le nettoyage ou l’entretien.
• N’utilisez pas l’appareil à l’extérieur ou sur des surfaces mouillées.
• Ne laissez pas les enfants jouer avec l’appareil. Exercez une sur veillance étroite quand
l’appareil est utilisé par des enfants ou à proximité de ceux-ci.
• Utilisez l’appareil seulement comme indiqué dans ce manuel. Utilisez seulement les
accessoires recommandés par le fabricant.
• Ne pas utiliser l'appareil si la fiche ou le cordon est endommagé. Si l'appareil fonctionne
mal, s'il est tombé par terre ou dans l'eau, s'il est endommagé ou a été laissé à
l'extérieur, il doit être apporté à un centre de service.
• Ne tirez pas l’appareil par son cordon, ne vous servez pas du cordon comme poignée,
ne fermez pas de portes sur le cordon et ne tirez pas le cordon sur des coins ou bords
tranchants. Évitez de passer l’appareil sur le cordon d’alimentation. Tenez le cordon à
l'écart des surfaces chauffées.
• Ne pas tirer sur le cordon d'alimentation pour débrancher l’appareil. Saisir la fiche et non
le cordon pour débrancher l'appareil.
• Ne manipulez pas la fiche ou l’aspirateur avec les mains mouillées.
• N’insérez pas d’objets dans les ouvertures. N’utilisez pas l’appareil si ses orifices sont
obstrués; enlevez de ces derniers la poussière, les peluches, les cheveux et tout ce qui
pourrait réduire le débit d’air.
• Gardez les cheveux, les vêtements amples, les doigts et toute partie du corps à l’écart
des ouvertures et des pièces en mouvement.
• F ermez toutes les commandes avant de débrancher l’appareil.
• Soyez très prudent quand vous nettoyez des marches d’escalier .
