Phone — frequently asked questions

Find your phone number

In the phone, the My Number field displays your
phone number.

Make a call

1.

In the phone, type a phone number or select
a contact.

2.

Press the Enter key.

3.

To end the call, hold the Escape button.

Notes:
If the contact that you want to call is not listed,
click the trackwheel. Click Call From Address Book
to select a contact from your address book.

You can also make a call on the Home screen. Type
the number and press the Enter key.

Can I use the phone when the handheld or
keyboard is locked?

Make an emergency call

You can make an emergency call even if your
handheld is locked and the radio is off. If the radio
is off, it is turned on automatically when the call is
initiated.

Perform one of the following actions:

Unlocked keyboard or handheld: In the
phone, type the emergency number. Press
the Enter key.

Locked keyboard or handheld: Click the
trackwheel. Click Emergency Call. Click Yes.
