Configuration Security

In environments where there is a need to restrict access to some or all of the configuration parameters
and features of the LM-6488, there is an optional password feature that can be used to protect these
settings. The password can be enabled for accessing and changing all of the setup parameters of the
terminal and you can also disable Internet Explorer, essentially locking-down all setup parameters and
preventing access to the Internet. The security capabilities are set-up from the Control Panel.

Click on the “Start” button at the bottom-left corner of the screen. Select “Settings” and “Control
Panel
”. From the Control Panel, double-click on the “Security” icon (two keys) and the “Security” panel
will be displayed.
