CHAPTER 3 – GETTING TO KNOW YOUR PDA

PART NAMES AND FUNCTIONS



APPLICATION BAR TOUCH MENU
The PDA has a variety of built-in applications that can be instantly selected by using the stylus to
tap the application icon on the touch menu at the top of the screen.

Phone book

is a database of contact information, including name, address, phone

numbers, etc. Information of each person will be stored as a record. Phone records can
be grouped into Business or Personal categories for easy access.

ToDo

is used to store a list of tasks, recorded by description, priority and deadline of the

task. ToDo tasks can be grouped into Business and Personal categories.


Calendar

allows you to plan your scheduled activities with appointments, anniversaries,

and ToDo tasks with the flexibility of planning with reference to monthly calendars and
daily times.

Email inbox can be used to create, send and receive emails.

Calculator

is a full function 12-digit calculator with currency and metric conversion

features.

Clock

checks the time and date at home and other world cities with one tap. Set up a

daily alarm and use the PDA as a desk clock when the PDA is in its cradle using the

AC/DC power adapter.

Menu

displays the above functions and additional functions that can be selected by

tapping the icon that represents that function. Additional functions include: Content,
Sketch, System Setup, Finance, Matching Game and PC Synchronization. See Chapter
11 for use of these additional functions.

OFF

Touch this icon to turn the PDA off.
