National Language
Support
The Oracle7 Server for Windows NT provides National Language
Support (NLS), that allows users to interact with the database in their
selected language. When you installed Oracle7 Server for Windows NT,
you selected a language, and the Installer recorded that language in the
NLS_LANG configuration parameter.
This appendix explains the NLS_LANG parameter and its components,
and lists the available options. This appendix also includes information
about several initialization parameters that provide NLS support.
This appendix also describes the procedure for installing support for
additional languages.
