These concise instructions show the relevant steps for using the appliance. Before using it for the first

Coffee preparation
- Fill the water container.
- Insert the plug into a wall outlet.
- Fit the pad holder into the coffee outlet and lock it by turning clockwise.
- Insert the pad.
- Slide the coffee outlet with pad into the appliance.
- Push the locking ring down.
- Place a cup below the outlet and press the Start button.
- Remove the cup only after the indicator light has gone out.
- Push the locking ring up.

Flash function

Significance
The system pre-heats before the actual brewing cycle.
Towards the end of the brewing cycle, the system indicates a waiting
phase necessary to reduce pressure. Caution: wait for the flashing to stop
before pushing the ring up.
The appliance pre-heats and the pump is active.
Error indication:
Flash function
rapid flashing
double flashing / interval
Significance
The coffee outlet is not (or not
correctly) fitted.
The locking ring is not properly
closed.
The water level is below the
minimum-level mark.
The magnet in the water
container has become stuck.
The water container has not
been inserted correctly.
If the appliance is not used for
around 5 minutes with the
locking ring in its down position,
the indicator light starts flashing.
Remedy
Ensure the coffee outlet is properly
fitted.
Push the ring down to ensure the
unit is fully closed.
Replenish.
Try to free the magnet by gently
shaking the container.
Remove and replace correctly.
Push the ring up and remove the
pad. For reasons of hygiene, leave
the ring in its open position.
