Media Menu
This item appears if enabled by a System Administrator .
Notes:

Factory default settings are shown in bold.
• Items with a dagger (†) only appear when the
appropriate option is installed.
MONO-
PRINT
SPEED AUTO SPEED
NORMAL SPEED
COLOR SPEED Sets the print engine speed.
If you are printing only color
documents, switch to COLOR SPEED.
If you are printing only monochrome
documents, switch to MONO 24PPM.
AUTO SPEED sets the speed of printing
based on whether the first page is color
or monochrome.
If you are printing a document with a
color cover followed by mostly
monochrome pages, use MIXED SPEED.

speed and fusing
temperature.

HEAVY Adjusts the printer for the
weight of paper stock loaded
in the tray. See “Paper
Weights” on page 14.
