The PT is traditionally a
terminal that exchanges data in
allocated areas with the PLC's CPU
Unit. The internal and external control
of a PLC with only this type of data
exchange is, however, difficult.
A NS-series PT, however, uses
communications functions and Smart
Active Parts to incorporate
software computer functions to
operate as a Device Navigator.
