Remote control unit: other equipment
This remote control unit can control other equipment such as video recorders, Hi-fi systems, or satellite receivers.
To control a video recorder
Set the switch to vcr.
Standby / On.
Display the menu.
Vertical scrolling in the menus.
Horizontal scrolling in the menus.
Confirmation of an action.
Leave the menus.
Direct access to the programmes or enter
the numeric values.
To switch from one programme to another.
Select the AV input.
REV
Rewind.
PLAY
Play.
FWD
Fast forward.
REC vcr
Record.
STOP
Stop.
PAUSE
Pause
To control a Satellite Receiver
Set the switch to sat.
Standby / On.
Display the menu.
Vertical scrolling in the menus.
Horizontal scrolling in the menus.
Confirmation of an action.
Exit the menus.
Direct access to the programmes or enter the
numeric values.
To switch from one programme to another.
To control a Hi-fi system
Set the switch to hi-fi
Standby / On.
Mute or re-establish the sound.
Set the volume level.
Choose a radio station by entering the number.
To switch from one programme to another.

To program the remote control unit
1. According to the model of remote control unit, press on the vcr key or slide the switch in the position of the equipment to be controlled.
2. Hold the tv menu key down and enter one of the 3 figure codes corresponding to the make of your unit (the code list can be found at the end of this manual).
3. Release the tv menu key.
4. Try to switch off the unit with the
key on the remote control unit. If it doesn’t work, try another code.
Depending on the age or type of some products, certain functions may not be available.
Certain codes may cover more functions than others.Test the functions that you can control and maybe try other codes.
Note the code or codes which are best suited here.
When you change the batteries in the remote control unit, remember to reprogram it.
