To set up the problem and perform the analysis:

1. Press

%f. Select the desired type of analysis

from the menu and press

indicator displays.

3. Enter a value for X

and press

$.

4. Then:

• In 1-VAR stat mode, enter the frequency of

occurrence (FRQ) of the data point and press
$. FRQ default=1. If FRQ=0, the data point is

ignored. Or,

• In LIN, LN, EXP, OR PWR, enter the value of Y

and press

$.

5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all data points are

entered. You can change or delete data points by
scrolling to the desired point and editing or pressing
'. If you are in 2-VAR mode, you must delete

both the data point and the frequency. You can add
new points by scrolling to the last point and pressing
$; the calculator will prompt you for the new data.

If you add or delete data points, the TI-36X

ü

automatically reorders the list.

6. When all points and frequencies are entered:

• Press 8 to display the menu of variables

(see table for definitions) and their current
values. Or,

• Press 7 to return to the blank STAT screen.

You can perform calculations with data variables (

ф,

х, etc.). After such calculations, you can return to

the display of variables by pressing

8 again.

You can return to the data entries again by pressing
7.
