Many professional photographers

would agree that no optical filter is more
indispensable than the polarizer. It
eliminates glare and reflection from
water and window surfaces, a common
problem, and it also saturates color and
increases contrast. In the Warm
Polarizer, Tiffen combines the properties
of the polarizing filter with the exclusive
effects of the 812

®

Warming Filter. This

valuable filter adds natural warmth to all
skintones, exterior shade and highlight
areas. This is useful in outdoor open
shade situations where there is excessive
blue in the image and total control over
lighting may not be possible.

In the pair of examples below at the

bottom, the Warm Polarizer’s effect on
the glare off the glass is dramatically
apparent. In addition, see how it makes
the model’s skin glow with health. In the
shots of the Sydney Opera House above,
see how much bluer the sky is against
the whiteness of the clouds. Additional
details appear in the roof with the
reduction in its glaring whiteness, and
the brown of the walls takes on a richer,
more inviting hue.

You can actually see the effect of the

Warm Polarizer through the filter before
you shoot. Approximately 2 f-stop
compensation is required.
