Function Enhancement by Option Configurations
This section provides you with the general descriptions of functions enabled with each option
(the Network Printer Kit, Fax Kit and External Keyboard).
For details of the function of the Fax Kit (optional) and the External Keyboard (optional), see the
Operator’s Manual for Facsimile Functions.
When the Network Printer Kit (optional) is installed, the USB terminal originally installed on this
equipment will be disabled, and therefore, some functions such as printing and TWAIN scanning
from a computer using the TOSHIBA Viewer will be disabled too.
The general descriptions of the functions and the option configurations are shown below.
When no options above are installed
Some functions such as a GDI printing using the TOSHIBA Viewer are enabled with a USB
connector.
When the Network Printer Kit is installed
Network printing is enabled. (USB printing is also enabled with the USB connector of this kit.)
In addition, you can set up or manage this equipment from a client computer using the co-
packed utility TopAccess.
