Be careful about placing the power cable so that it

won’t be stepped on or tripped over.

Do not disassemble or attempt to repair this product;

it may cause injury due to high voltages or other
risks. Incorrect reassembly may cause electric shock.
If the adaptor needs servicing, take it back to the
dealer where it was originally purchased.

Do not expose the adaptor to extreme temperatures,

especially heating devices.

Immediately unplug the adaptor if the plastic case

is damaged or opens at the seam, if the product is
exposed to water or does not function properly.

Your failure to adhere to these directions may invalidate
the warranty for this product.

CAUTION: It is normal for the adaptor to get
warm during use. However, you should avoid
placing the adaptor in direct sunlight or next to
heat-sensitive materials.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Refer to the Tip Compatibility Chart included in this
kit to select the correct tip for your device. Not all
devices use the same tip. Your use of the incorrect
tip can damage your device. Additional tips may
be purchased through Tumi Customer Service at
800.322.TUMI (8864) within the U.S., at www.tumi.com,
or your Tumi retailer.

WARNING: Using the wrong tip may damage your
computer or cause it to malfunction.

Wall Socket Connection (see diagram 1 on page 3)

Connect the correct tip to one end of the retractable cable.

Insert the end with tip into the device’s power socket.

Connect the other end of the retractable cable into

the power adaptor unit.

Connect the AC wall socket input plug into the

power adaptor unit.

Plug the AC connector into a wall outlet. The status

light glows green when powered.

Vehicle Connection (see diagram 2 on page 3)

WARNING: Do not start your vehicle’s engine while
the adaptor is connected to the device. This will help
to prevent power interruption and any negative effects
on the device or its software.

If your power source is the cigarette lighter, remove

the cigarette lighter from the socket (be sure that it is
not hot to avoid the risk of fire), store it and insert the
auto connector into the socket. Certain vehicles have
outlets other than the cigarette lighter for appliances.
Please check your vehicle’s instructions.

Connect the cable of the auto connector into the

power adaptor unit.

Insert one end of the retractable cable into the power

adaptor unit.

Connect the correct tip to the other end of the

retractable cable and plug it into the laptop computer.
The status light glows green when powered.

Air Connection (see diagram 2 on page 3)
Use the air connector when traveling with an airline
that provides a compatible in-seat power system.
