10. To begin route guidance, say “CALCULATE

ROUTE”. To confirm the destination location on the
map before proceeding, say “SHOW MAP”.

Ⅲ To improve recognition accuracy of street names, say the entire street name including

Boulevard, Way, North, South, Road, etc., if it is known.

Ⅲ If a list of choices appears, please say the number from the displayed list.
Ⅲ If you don’t know the house number when asked, say “No House Number”, and the

system will use a default location on the street.

Setting a Destination to a Place

Ⅲ After saying “NAVIGATION”, the command

“PLACES” allows you to select a nearby place
category. The category selection will show the 5
nearest places of the chosen category.

Ⅲ To customize this list, please refer to the OTHER

SETTINGS section of your Navigation Owner’s
Manual.

DISPLAYING THE USER GUIDE TUTORIALS

You can confirm how to use voice recognition by accessing a simplified User Guide. The
guide contains basic instructions for using voice recognition, and tutorials for several voice
commands.

1. Press <INFO>.

2. Highlight [Voice Recognition] and press <ENTER>.

3. Highlight [User Guide] and press <ENTER>.

4. Highlight the desired topic and press <ENTER> to

begin the tutorial.

ALTERNATE COMMAND MODE

For advanced operation, you can change to an Alternate Command Mode that enables the
control of the audio system and climate control through voice recognition. Additional
commands are also available for phone and navigation systems. When this mode is active,

the expanded list of commands can all be spoken after pushing the

switch, and the voice

command menu prompts are turned off.

1. Press <SETTING>.

2. Highlight [Others] and press <ENTER>.

3. Highlight [Voice Recognition] and press

<ENTER>.
