Privacy The following requirements relates to the user’s privacy when entering PIN. The
area of visibility should be no larger than a cone taken from the number 5 key at
an angle of 45
o and covering an area of 270 o directly in front of the user, as shown
in Figure 4 .

PIN entry can be secured using the payment machine’s structure ( Figure 5 ) or by
installing a privacy shield ( Figure 6 ).
