IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not
immerse appliance in water or other liquid.
3. Make sure that only clean knife blades are inserted into
the Waring Pro
™
Professional Knife Sharpener.
4. Do not touch surfaces that may be hot. Use handles or
knobs provided.
5. Portable – unplug from outlet when not in use, before
putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning.
Allow to cool before handling.
6. Avoid contact with moving parts.
7. Do not operate any appliance or other electrical
equipment with a damaged cord or plug, or after the
unit malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any
manner. Return it to the nearest authorized service
facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
8. CAUTION: This appliance has a polarized plug (one
prong is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of
electric shock, this plug will fit into a polarized out-
let only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
9. Always check that the control is off before plugging the
cord into a wall outlet. To disconnect, turn the control to
off, then remove plug from wall outlet.
