Entering a prefix

A prefix is a number that you dial before the telephone number to access an outside
line. For example, many offices require that you dial “9” before you dial a number
outside the building.

To enter a prefix:

1.

On the Phone Setup screen, tap the Dial Prefix check box to select it.

2.

Enter the prefix.

3.

Tap OK.

Disabling call waiting

Call waiting can cause your session to terminate if you receive a call while you are
connected. If you connect to your ISP using a modem connected to a telephone that
has call waiting, you need to disable this feature before logging in to your ISP or
dial-in server.

To disable call waiting:

1.

On the Phone Setup screen, tap the Disable call waiting check box to select it.

2.

On the Disable call waiting line, enter the code to disable call waiting.

Each telephone company assigns a code to disable call waiting. Contact your
local telephone company for the appropriate code.

3.
