Damage to property/material

Danger of fire from a short circuit. Keep
battery contacts clean and dry. Store
battery away from any metallic items
(e. g. screws, nails).
Electrolyte may emerge if the battery has
been shorted or over-heated. Avoid any
electrolyte contacting the skin. Rinse with
water. Do not use the battery again.

Personal protective equipment.

When using this power tool wear the
following protective items:
Hair net (for long hair).

Handling.

Before the charging for the first time, read
the operating instructions for the battery
charger!

Charging the battery.

Before using the battery for the first time,
charge it using an original FEIN battery
charger.
Improper handling can cause an electric
shock, overheating or leakage of aggres-
sive battery fluid.
Release the battery (9) by pressing the
unlocking button and pulling the battery
back out of the handle. Do not exert
any force.
Plug the battery charger into the socket
and charge the battery. After the battery
has been charged, replace the battery on
the power tool and unplug the battery
charger.
A new battery does not reach its full
charge until after several charging/dis-
charging procedures.
Do not charge a charged battery again.
Do not charge the battery until it is dis-
charged and thus unable to drive in any
more screws.

Replace the battery if the power of the
charged battery weakens after a short
time or the battery can no longer be
charged at a normal temperature.
If the power tool is not used for a longer
period of time, the battery should be
taken off. This will prevent the battery
charge from becoming very low.

Switching ON/OFF (5).

Mount the charged battery.

Switching the power tool ON:

The illumination (7) is activated even
if the switch (5) is only pressed lightly.
If pressing continues the motor is
switched on; the illumination goes out.

Switching the power tool OFF:

To turn off, let go of switch.

Selecting the direction of
rotation (6).

By pressing the switch for reverse
rotation (6) once, the power tool is
switched over to reverse rotation.

LED display (4) flashes red and green.
After the reverse rotation has been car-
ried out, or if the power tool is not used
for approx. 10 sec., it automatically
switches back to forward rotation.

For a adjusting the torque (3).

Before commencing work remove the
battery.

Remove cap (2) with a screwdriver.

Turn the cover (1) so that one of the
drill holes on the adjusting nut
becomes visible.

Insert the setting key (c) into one of the
drill holes on the adjusting nut.
