see section “Short haircut”).
To get a flat surface at the top of the head use the barber
comb (12) or your fingers (Figure 4c). Remove the attach-
ment comb from the clipper. Using the barber comb (or your
fingers), lift a small lock of hair vertically and, moving the comb
(12) or the fingers along the lock choose the hair length needed.
Do the next lock the same length and then keep going in the
same manner from the top to the forehead. Comb the hair at
regular intervals to remove cut hairs and to check the result.
To get the ideal transition zone (the bold line in the Figure
4a) between the top and the sides of the head, tilt the comb
slightly and cut off the prominent hairs (pic. 4d).
Trim the whiskers and the hairline as described in the section
“Short haircut”.

Long haircut

In this hairstyle the hair is cut only at the back and the sides of
the head, thus the hair at the front side of the head is left long.
Use attachment combs for hair length from 3 to 12 mm de-
pending on the hair length needed.
Cut the hair at the back and the sides of the head as described
in the section “Short haircut”. Use attachment combs for hair
length from 3 to 12 mm depending on the hair length needed.
Cut the hair only to the bold line as shown in the Figure 4a.
From this level (to an area a couple of centimeters above the
ear) use the flat comb to get the perfectly accurate transition
zone. Tilt the comb to the head a little and cut prominent hairs
with the clipper without the attachment comb using the comb
as a guide (Figure 4d).
Do not cut the hair at the top of the head.
Trim the whiskers and the hairline as described in the section
“Short haircut”.
Comb the hair to the desired style.

Keeping the haircut in order

To keep the haircut in order from time to time just trim the

hairline at the top of the head, around the ears and the whiskers
as in the section “Short haircut”. The attachment combs are not
used.

Beard trimming

Start the beard trimming using the attachment comb No. 4
from below the chin. Move the clipper symmetrically from side
to side (Figure 5).
Cut the hairs protruding through the beard using the upturned
clipper without attachment comb, using short careful moves.
