Right-clicking on the Channel Name field of the tab opens a contextual menu
showing the XT channels that are available to the IP Director workstation.
Selecting an available channel will show a dialogue box if the play-list is not on-
line on this XT and ask for confirmation.

Once confirmed the play-list will be allocated to this channel. The name of the tab
will change to show the play-list name and also include the channel name and its
storage location on the XT server network (XNet).

Note

Once a play-list had been allocated a channel for the first time, the
play-list has an identity on the XNet and is declared on-line. It could

then be called to air by anyone with the user rights to control it, so care
must be taken when editing the list.

If the None option is selected from the menu, or if a channel name is double-
clicked, the channel name will be disassociated and will also be removed from the
tab ident. It will however still be an on-line play-list as its data is now stored
