Pen-Lock Kawasaki Differential Handle Lock
When properly installed, High Lifter’s Pen-Lock Kawasaki Differential Handle Lock will permit locking the
front differential in full lock. Operation is similar to that of many ATV parking brakes in that when the Locking
Lever is fully engaged (squeezed), and the Pen-Lock button is depressed, the differential lock will remain
engaged until the locking lever is again squeezed disengaging the Pen-Lock button.
Note: When engaged the locking differential requires more steering effort and decreases maneuverability of the
ATV and should therefore only be used at slow speeds and in accordance with instructions contained in the
owners manual. The Pen-Lock is intended as an effort saving convenience only, to reduce effort required by
extended lengths of difficult terrain where the differential lock is needed to negotiate deep mud or other
obstacles. High Lifter assumes no responsibility for damage to equipment or persons occasioned by use of this

Installation Instructions:
1. Using the template outline of the rubber cover provided, to select the location, place a small piece of
wood or metal, as a backup under the rubber cover, and using a hammer and cutter provided in the kit
cut a hole in the rubber boot.
