Rincon Headlight

Installation Instructions

This light is simply spliced into the existing Honda headlight circuit behind either Honda
headlight. When installed correctly the light will come on when the Honda headlights are
turned on and will change from hi to low beam using the handlebar switch.

If you want to be able to turn this light off but leave the Honda headlights on, simply
install a toggle switch in the ground circuit.

1. Remove the plastic cover on the front underneath the hanlebars.
2. Remove the two Honda OEM nuts, install the light bracket and fasten with tight

using the Honda nuts. Re-torque to 18ft lbs.

3. Re-install the plastic cover.
4. Using an ice pick or similar tool perforate the rubber plug in the Hella light

housing and thread the wires through the rubber plug. (Before stripping
insulation).

5. Install the Halogen bulb in the headlight being careful not to touch the bulb.
6. Install the black plastic connector inside the light housing.
7. Install the wires in the connector by pressing the clamps then inserting the wires

into the connector. (strip about ¼” of insulation)

8. Using test light, identify wires to be spliced (see attached diagram).
9. Disconnect ATV battery to prevent blown fuses.
10. Using the quick splice connectors attach the new wiring according to the diagram.

Verify continuity.

11. Trim excess wire; secure wire from hazards or potential abrasions. Note that wire

passing under the plastic instrument panel cover is subject to being crimped when
handlebars are turned unless you are careful to protect it.

12. Reconnect ATV battery.

Enjoy the new light and increased safety.
