ATV Shower And Radiator Washer

Assembly of the pump, hose, and electrical connection is straight forward and as follows:

1. Remove the debris strainer from the package.

2. Remove the blue perforated cap on the end of the pump by squeezing the 2 “bayonet”

style clips and withdrawing the clips.

3. Install the strainer inside the pump, dome toward the cap end. Reinstall the cap.

4. Install the nozzle and fittings by inserting the barb in the hose, tightening the clamp

and installing the nozzle.

5. The other end of the hose fits inside the output fitting of the pump and is sufficiently

tight to stay there without a clamp. This particular hose was selected so it would not
take up too much room in a storage container. We tried various sizes of automotive
heater hoses, but they all take up too much room.

6. Attach the plug-in electrical connector to the pump wires using the butt connectors

supplied. You should strip a little more wire off the pump’s end wires to ensure
proper fit into the butt connector.

*Note: The brown wire on the pump is positive and the black is negative. If your
ATV does not have a cigarette style plug in connector, this pump may be connected
to whatever type accessory connection the ATV uses. If it has no connector you can
obtain a female end that accepts a cigarette lighter style plug in from an automotive
supply store. Simply attach this connection to a positive and ground or directly to the
battery. If you do not have a plug in provided by the ATV manufacturer the pump
should be connected to a circuit protected by a fuse.(The pump draws 4 amps.)

7. Using butt connectors supplied, the brown wire on the pump should be connected to

the one of the cigarette plug wires that has a slightly brown stripe. The black wire
from the pump should be connected to the other black wire from the plug, which has
a series of tiny raised ridges along its length. The pump is now ready to use by
simply plugging it in and dropping it in a water source.
