Oil Seal Installation Information

Pictured below is important information pertaining to the seals shown in the chart below. Directional seal installation is
important as failure to follow correct installation procedures can result in leakage causing internal component damage.
The seals listed below are for particular models and locations. These oil seals are “Directional Oil Seals” which are
designed with “Sipes” and “Lip Vents”. The purposes of sipes in an axle seal are to direct the lubrication back into the
axle during normal operation. The inside & outside dimension’s of the oil seals listed below are identical, the only visible
difference will be the direction in which the sipes are angled, as shown in the illustration below.

IMPORTANT: These seals must be installed in their correct Input / Output location or leakage through the seal
may occur. Oil leakage from the axle can cause internal component damage and may lead to axle failure.
