Topic: TPCS Air Seal Replacement Update
Affected Models: All TPCS Drive Axle Wheel Ends
Identification: Original production used an air seal assembly enclosed in a metal case. The single assembly has been
replaced with 2 individual air seals. In addition, a flat washer has been added to each air seal retaining screw.
(See attached diagrams) .
Refer to AXTS–0020 Troubleshooting Guide and Service Manual for proper removal / installation of hub.
The illustration below shows the individual air seals installed in the hub. Note that the 2 identical seals are installed with
the oil sides facing away from each other (rubber sides facing toward each other). O-rings are required in hubs with
existing grooves.
