NOTICE

• This product is not intended for life or safety applications.

• Do not install this product in hazardous or classified locations.
• Read and understand the instructions before installing
this product.
• Turn off all power supplying equipment before working on it.

• The installer is responsible for conformance to all applicable codes.

QUICK INSTALL

1. Lock out all power supplies prior to installation or service.

2. Select a location for the sensor in a secure area where it will be accessible only

to qualified service personnel. The GMxA Series monitoring station should be
installed centrally in the parking structure, near the main traffic paths, but away
from outside air vents and excessive drafts. Mount the unit securely to a wall or
column at a height of about 5 ft. (1.52 m) from the floor.

3. Connect only Veris Industries, G Series carbon monoxide sensors to the GMxA

monitoring station.

4. Connect only 24VAC/24VDC power to the two-position terminal block as shown

in the wiring diagram. Connect a ground wire to the metal case at a mountinig
screw or metal conduit fitting.

5. Apply power to the unit. A green LED on the circuit board indicates power is

applied.

Note: Coverage is NOT dependant on the sensor. Coverage is a function of the building structure
and air flow patterns. A minimum of one sensor for 5000 sq. ft. is recommended. Wide open areas
where the air is well mixed may require a few sensors.

OPERATION

The GMxA Series monitoring station accepts digital inputs from up to four G Series
carbon monoxide sensors. It provides alarm status indication for each input and a
normally open Form C (SPDT) fan actuation relay controlling a normally closed fan
contactor. If any of the four sensors detect CO levels above 25 ppm, or if a fault is
detected, the corresponding alarm status indicator light turns on and the fan relay
will activate the fan.

VERIS GW/GD SENSOR

(sold separately)

Connect G Series sensors to input terminals as indicated. To ensure proper
operation, all unused inputs must be jumpered from (V+) to (IN) as shown in the
wiring diagram.

To provide fail-safe operation, the normally open fan relay contacts must be used
with a normally closed motor starter or contactor.

Note: Position of
jumper strip may
vary depending
on the version
ordered.
