JK FRONT WINCH BUMPER

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

598/59850/599/59950

Pre-installation Notes: Installation onto 2012 and newer Jeep Wranglers will require removal and
relocation of the factory vacuum assist unit as it is in the way of mounting an aftermarket bumper.
This component is located near the end of the driver side frame rail. Warrior part number ‘5905 JK
Vacuum Pump Relocation Bracket’ will alleviate this fitment issue. These series of bumpers have
provisions to mount the factory fog lights and most winches in the 8,000-9,500lbs. range. Some
winches may not be compatible as they need to be able to fit down between the JK Wranglers’ front
frame rail plates (approx. 23.5”). The Warn ‘Zeon’ series of winches will not fit as they are too
wide. Complications may arise if attempting to fit a larger bodied, 10,000lbs or larger winch.
Lastly, when fitting the factory fogs into the Warrior bumper, be aware that there will be some slight
wire lengthening that needs to take place to reach the new fog light locations.

Prepare the vehicle for bumper installation
1. Begin by removing the lower air valance under the factory bumper. It is attached with plastic

fasteners that may be a bit stubborn.

2. Remove the two plastic fasteners holding the upper frame cover in place and remove the cover.
3. Unplug the wiring from the factory fog lights and temporarily tuck the plugs out of the way until

needed.

4. Remove the (8) 18mm nuts holding the factory bumper onto the frame and remove the bumper,

tow hooks and tow hook reinforcement plates.

5. Remove the factory fog lights from the factory bumper. You will be utilizing the 4 outermost

holes around the perimeter of each fog light, however they will need to be drilled out to

” to

fit over the mounting studs within the Warrior bumper.

6. Place the factory fog lights onto the mounting studs within the Warrior bumper paying close

attention to their orientation. There is a small black ‘vent’ on the backside of each factory fog
light that needs to be in the up position. Affix them into place with the (8) #10-32 Keps Nuts
provided.

7. Test fit the Warrior bumper by sliding it into place on the front frame mounting plates. If the

studs don’t quite line up, you may need to slightly enlarge some of the Jeeps’ frame mounting
plate holes. Have an assistant hold the bumper in place while you determine which holes may
need attention. If you’ve enlarged any of the holes, apply some touchup paint to the bare metal
areas to prevent any future rust issues from developing.
