INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

INSTALLATION:
1. Begin by removing the spare tire and spare tire carrier from the tailgate. You will be reusing the
factory hardware from the spare carrier.
2. Next, remove the rear wiper arm. Make a small reference mark on the wiper shaft so that when
reinstalling, you can orient the wiper arm properly.
3. At this point, you may choose to use a silicone sealant around the edges of the tailgate center cover.
Choosing to do so is at your discretion as moisture can get between the cover and the body and
potentially cause rust issues in the future.
4. Set the tailgate center cover onto the tailgate, lining up the holes with the threaded tail gate inserts.
Hand-thread all four bolts with washers into place. Do not final tighten until all the screws are
installed. Once you’re satisfied with the positioning, snug up the bolts.
5. If you’d prefer different hardware than the OEM bolts, any local auto parts or hardware store should
have something suitable. You’ll want metric bolts in the M10x20mm size.
6. Reinstall the wiper arm referencing the mark you made prior to its removal.
7. Your installation is now complete.
