STEERING BOX BRACE
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
WAR 893
Your new steering box brace bolts between steering box neck, next to the Pitman Arm and the
opposite side frame rail.
1.
Bolt the flat plate with 4 holes, provided with kit, to the bottom of the
steering box, above the Pitman Arm. The new bolts provided must have
lock tight applied to the threads. This is mandatory. The “U” opening faces
towards the drivers side. Tighten all four bolts.
2.
Install complete cross bar using the four (4) self tapping screws to the frame.
Leave bolt on steering box tube loose at steering box until the 4 self tapping screws have
been installed. The screws can self drill or, for ease of installation, a pilot hole of 9/32” can
be drilled.
3. Tighten all bolts. Caution: do not over tighten self tapping screws.
4. After a test drive, verify that all bolts are tight.
