TORQUE BARS

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1.)

Raise rear of vehicle and securely place on jack stands. Remove rear tires for ease
of installation.

2.)

Install bushings and sleeves into torque bars, install mounting brackets onto torque
bars using supplied hardware.

3.)

Hold torque bars and brackets up to frame and axle as illustrated in picture to get an
idea of mounting location, mark as needed.

4.)

Axle bracket is to be welded to axle housing, while the frame bracket can be welded
or bolted in place. Install frame bracket first. (If welding bracket be sure to remove
torque bars first, so the heat won’t melt bushings.) Once cool reinstall torque barzs
and axle bracket. Hold axle bracket in place on axle housing. Give bracket _” –1”
of clearance to u-bolt. Remove torque bars and weld bracket.

5.)

Once everything is cool, touch up paint and reinstall torque bars.

6.)

Reinstall tires and place vehicle on ground. Now a 7/16” hole can be drilled through
bars for the locking pin. Drill hole 1” from open end of the larger bar, all the way
through both bars.

Install pins.
