HI-LIFT INSTALLATION - Phase 2: Installing Jack onto Brackets
1. Locate the 1543 Jack Handle Strap. Use this Velcro strap to securely hold the jack handle to the jack’s body. Make
this strap as tight as possible. If done properly, your jack handle should never rattle.
2. Set the jack onto the brackets so that the brackets’ studs are pointing through the holes in the body of the jack.
IMPORTANT: Orient the jack so that the handle is facing the windshield and the jacks’ lifting hook is pointing
towards the front of the vehicle. Mounting the jack in the opposite direction may cause damage to the cowl when
setting the hood back against the windshield while accessing the engine compartment.
3. Place the supplied u-strap brackets over the studs so that they wrap around the body of the jack.
4. Using the supplied plastic wing nuts, securely tighten the jack into place. You should be able to get these plenty
tight enough by hand. We do not recommend using tools or pliers of any sort on these wing nuts.
5. Installation is complete. Be sure to monitor the plastic wing nuts on your brackets to ensure that they remain tight.
