INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
902DOOR CJ5 1955 to 1975
905DOOR CJ5 1976 to 1985
Read all instructions before proceeding
1. Assemble door paddle handles into their respective sides with hardware provided. Insert the
latching mechanism in through from the front side and with the mechanism towards the back of
the Jeep. The pivoting striker latch must be in the down orientation.
2. Apply the foam moulding to the lower inside edge
of each door. (See Diagram ‘A’)
3. Installing the door hinges (902DOOR only).
Slide the hinges onto the door pins and
temporarily hold them into place with some tape.
Set the door centered within the tub opening and
mark the locations where you will need to drill the
holes. Once you are satisfied with their
placement, drill the holes and mount the upper
and lower hinges on the outside of the tub utilizing
the hardware provided.
NOTE: 905DOOR uses the factory hinges.
4. Hang the doors on the Jeep to check for proper fitment.
5. Assemble the striker bracket and place
on top of the body tub rail so that the
paddle handles’ latch engages the
striker pin. Make any vertical
adjustments to the pin so that the
bracket lies flat on the body tub rail.
Mark the mounting locations through
the bracket, set the bracket aside and
drill the 3/8” holes. Mount the bracket
on the tub rail making certain the
alignment is correct. The door should
open and close smoothly if properly
installed.
