STEERING BOX SKID PLATE
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
WAR 1785- 1786
Read all instructions before proceeding.
1. Remove the bottom center bolt from the steering box.
2. Align the support bracket with the hole in the frame and insert the bolt removed in step #1
above. Do not tighten at this time.
3. Position the Skid Plate up against the bottom of the bumper and mark both holes.
4. Remove the Skid Plate
5. Drill holes in the bumper using a 5/16” drill bit. Be sure to wear eye protection when drilling.
6. Install the Skid Plate by first screwing in the steering box bolt (leave it loose for now). Then
screw the self tapping bolts provided into the holes you drilled into the bumper until tight.
Now tighten the steering box bolt.
